Vegetarian Approval
We are the only horse feed company to gain Vegetarian Society approval for our products - no animal products are used in our horse feeds. We do not use any unnatural by-products or ingredients which could contravene Jockey Club or F.E.I. rules. Indeed, our ingredient suppliers are constantly screened to ensure they supply consistent quality and use responsible handling techniques to avoid any risk of contamination.
We do not use 'nature identical' products in our feeds either - these are ingredients which are artificially manufactured to mimic natural extracts.
During the monitoring of our feed processes, and when devising new diets, we strive to incorporate the latest information from respected international equine research establishments.
We have great respect for natural principles and encompass them in our balanced approach, within which we use both natural and herbal synergies and compatibilities. These principles, and others unique to us, are used to arrive at the final formulation of our feeds. All these approaches have been used to the full to produce 'L' Mix - a feed to assist in the management of a horse or pony prone to laminitis.
A further formula was introduced in 1996 which caters for cereal or sugar intolerance.
Feed manufacturers can always be accused of 'jumping on to bandwagons'. We, on the other hand, have been providing our customers with innovative feeds, conforming to our unique feed philosophy, for many years and they have seen the benefits.
