Non-GM Policy
As a matter of policy, Allen & Page has taken a positive attitude towards producing non-genetically modified feed.
Non-GM Ingredients
We use only identity preserved soya and maize grown from non-GM seed. Whilst these crops are not guaranteed, we feel we have taken every reasonable precaution to ensure that you and your horse have minimal exposure to any possible GM presence. We show all our ingredients on our labels.
What is 'Natural'?
By natural, we mean that we do not use manufactured - nature identical - ingredients - only the real thing!
At Allen & Page, we have a policy of only using non-GM ingredients in our mill and we only use premium grade vegetable oils - no recovered oils such as chip fat, no animal fats, and no fishmeal. We do not use the traditional gelatine coating (an animal by-product) to protect our vitamins. We do not use waste products from the human food industry such as biscuit meal and all of the herbs used are -real- dried herbs -not flavourings. We do not select ingredients which have been processed using harsh chemical solvents (hexane).
Our quality assured mill is ISO9002 Approved, UKASTA Feed Assured, and Soil Association Licensed.
Allen & Page has a reputation for producing the cleanest, 'greenest' feeds. We guarantee that no prohibited substances under the current Jockey Club or F.E.I. rules have been used in the production of these feeds. By maintaining this policy we can confirm that all reasonable precautions are taken to ensure that no prohibited substances are introduced whilst these feeds are produced.
