Ride & Relax® – Feed the Difference
Allen & Page unveiled its official 2006 Ride & Relax® horse and rider at Blenheim Horse Trials on August 31. Chantelle Smith and her winning horse Tigre, from Carterton, Oxfordshire, met with the company to receive their congratulations and a year’s supply of Allen & Page’s Ride & Relax® feed.
Horseowners throughout the UK were invited to prove why their horses were worthy of the accolade of becoming the official Ride & Relax® Horse 2006, by telling Allen & Page about the differences Ride & Relax® had made to their horses’ performance or behaviour.
Chantelle said: “I had Tigre for three years, but, because of her unpredictable habit of rearing on hacks and dangerous excitability, despaired of ever entering her into an event.”
After just four weeks of feeding Tigre on Allen & Page’s Ride & Relax®, Chantelle saw such a remarkable difference that she felt at long last ready to enter her into a one-day event. “Tigre has calmed right down and is so willing to please it’s fantastic. It’s a pleasure, and such a relief, to be able to compete on her, given what she used to be like.”
Ride & Relax® is a light, non-sticky, low energy muesli mix for all horses and ponies at rest or in light work, and is
particularly suitable for horses with an intolerance to barley, molasses or alfalfa. Low in starch but high in fibre, it is ideal for horses - like Tigre - that tend to get excitable even on low energy mixes.
“I wanted my horse to be the official Ride & Relax® 2006 horse,” continued Chantelle, “because it will let everybody know what the feed can do and not just to give up, because that’s what I’d thought about doing. I’d tried everything until I came across this feed - I think it’s the best feed on the market - and I will make sure that I tell everyone I know about it.”
Sophie Edwards of Allen & Page Horse Feed said: “It's been fantastic to hear from so many riders what a huge difference Ride & Relax has made to them and their horses - in many cases allowing them to enjoy themselves together and to do things they never thought would be possible. Chantelle & Tigre are a great example of this and we all wish them well for a relaxed future together.”
With Tigre’s healthy diet and happy temperament, Chantelle should be riding and relaxing with her favourite horse for many years to come.
