The Barley & Molasses Free Range
WHICH FEED IS RIGHT FOR
YOUR HORSE?
The horse’s digestive system is perfectly designed for a high fibre diet – the large intestine effectively ferments fibre to produce energy, in comparison the small intestine where starches and sugars are digested is much smaller.
The demands of work and competition often mean that we need to provide our horses with more energy than can be supplied by fibre alone. We have carefully formulated these feeds so that they are barley and molasses free to ensure low starch and sugar levels, while high quality fibre ingredients provide good energy sources and help to keep the digestive system healthy.
