Old Faithful Case Studies

Both George and Barney struggled to keep weight over the winter. Their teeth are good, but getting on and they both had issues eating too large a feed. George would spill most of his on the floor and Barney dropped most of it in his water. I was having to feed silly amounts of conditioning mix to keep their weight up, but I don't like to feed more that 2kg of mix at a time! I was at my wit's end when I spotted the Allen & Page Old Faithful's Special Blend. I decided to give it a try and wish I had done it sooner! In the worst winter months, I simply mixed it with Calm & Condition, and in the warmer months Fast Fibre. For the first time ever, both of them have kept their weight on so much that I have actually had to cut their feed down!
George has no problem chewing it, and Barney likes it so much that he keeps it in his bowl! It's a perfect feed for veterans who need weight gain and have issues chewing other senior mixes. I will never have them on anything else again!

Bandit, a 13.2hh welsh pony who was born in 1982 spent his early years as a driving pony before being purchased seven years ago by Zoe. Now aged 27 years Bandit enjoys hacking around the beautiful Devon countryside with Zoe’s daughter Holly and her pony Bramble who is inseparable from his friend Bandit.
As Bandit is a more senior pony Zoe decided to feed him Old Faithful’s Special Blend which has been specially formulated for the older horse or pony. Being pellet free Old Faithful’s Special Blend is easy to chew and provides high quality protein as well as easily digestible energy sources help maintain weight and provide active horses and ponies with enough energy for their work. Protexin and prebiotics are included to help maintain a healthy balance of beneficial bacteria in the gut to ensure that your horse or pony is getting the most from their feed.
Bandit loves his meals of Old Faithful’s Special Blend and Zoe attributes Bandit’s good health to his high quality diet. Bandit certainly doesn’t look or act his age and likes to keep Zoe on her toes by spooking at monsters in the hedge. In fact, recently Bandit’s youthful attitude meant that a passer by guessed his age as being only 10 years old! Zoe is planning on showing Bandit this year in veteran classes but as far as Zoe is concerned Bandit is already a winner and in her own words wouldn’t part with him even for the winning lottery ticket.
