Great weekend for The Billy Stud
Tuesday 17 May 2011
The weekend of 8th-9th May was possibly one of the best so far for The Billy Stud, and their run of good form will hopefully continue! Billy Buttercup, who has recently been sold to Norwegian Geir Gulliksen, won a Grand Prix in Norway with Geir’s daughter Victoria. Billy Onshow, who has also been sold to Norway, was a close third in the same competition.
William and Billy Congo have also carried on their good form this season, coming second in the Grand Prix in Fontainebleau. Billy Bianca came eighth in the Grand Prix at the World Cup Finals in Leipzig with Richard Spooner and there were also some good results for the Billy Stud at Addington Manor’s Spring Classic including Billy Cavelle and Daniel Moseley coming third in the Foxhunter.
Eventing success To add to these great results for the show jumping Billy horses, the eventing horses also had a successful weekend, with Pippa coming fifth in an Intermediate section at Hambleden with Billy Beware and fourth with Billy Black Jack. Billy Be Cool won a Pre Novice section at Hambleden with his new rider Michael Jackson.
At Chatsworth International this weekend (14th-15th May), both Billy Beware and Billy Black Jack both won their sections in the 1* class, both horses jumping fantastic double clears.
