Hickstead success for William Funnell

Thursday at Hickstead saw Billy Congo and William Funnell win an international class, in the main arena – The Bunn Leisure Hickstead Tankard. Pippa Funnell and Billy On Show also placed 5th in an international class – The Stoner Jewellers Vase earlier in the afternoon and Billy Grand and William Funnell were 4th in the Equiport Annual Grade B Championships.
William also won the first class of the day, The Camardo Coffee 1.35m Open Championship, on Julie Slade's Beowulf, another good win to add to a good day's results. William then rounded off a great show with 2nd place in the Derby Trial on Billy Congo, a horse that seems to be truly on top form.
