Tuesday 12 August 2008
Great Britain's eventing team secured an Olympic bronze as Germany held off Australia to take gold in Hong Kong.
Britain started the day 11.70 points behind second-placed Australia but never really challenged for silver despite a clear round for Tina Cook.
After the showjumping phase, Germany had amassed 166.10 penalty points, with Australia on 171.20 and Britain 185.70.
Cook has the chance of an individual medal later on Tuesday and is currently placed joint sixth in the rankings.
Mary King is 13th, William Fox-Pitt is one place behind while Daisy Dick is 24th.
The top 25 riders in the team jumping qualify for the individual final.
