British Eventing welcomes new Chief Executive
Tuesday 11 November 2008
The following statement was released by British Eventing on Monday 10th November 2008:
After careful consideration, British Eventing Business Director Terry Bailey has decided that he does not wish to return to work following a major operation, preferring instead to retire early and spend more time with his wife, Anne, his family and other interests.
The Board is extremely grateful to Terry for his contribution to the growth and development of British Eventing, and wishes him a very long and very happy retirement.
Following this decision, the Board is delighted to announce that BE Sport Director Mike Etherington-Smith has agreed to take on the role of Chief Executive with immediate effect.
British Eventing will shortly advertise for a Finance Controller and Sport Director to assist Mike in the day-to-day running of British Eventing.
