Ginnie Turnbull is new sponsored rider
Tuesday 13 April 2010
Spring sees a new season starting and Allen & Page is proud to announce sponsorship of eventer Ginnie Turnbull in her quest for success.
Ginnie and her husband Will are based at Tanglewood Farm Stables, Newtown Linford, Leicester, where they are busy breaking and schooling around 50 horses and competing 16. This busy schedule makes life hectic for Ginnie, but she is enjoying great success with her top four horses, Daniel (Instant Reaction), Percy (Poetic Justice), Clive (Cendy) and Sam (Simply The Best). All of Ginnie’s horses are fed Allen & Page feeds and each quirky character has very different feeding requirements.
Early signs indicate that this season will be a success for Ginny, with all four horses showing great promise.
Cendy is an impressive five-year-old bay stallion with a talent for dressage and a mission to show jump. He successfully graded last year and is enjoying a short holiday before contesting young show jumper classes and young event horse qualifiers.
Instant Reaction is Ginnie and Will’s own 15-year-old chestnut gelding and is a real campaigner with double clears at both Badminton and Burghley Horse Trials under his belt. This season he has already been placed in the Open Intermediate at Poplar Park and Lincoln and he is lining up to compete at Badminton once again.
Poetic Justice is a striking seven-year-old grey gelding showing confidence and ability in his first few outings this season. Already he has been placed in the Open Novice at Isleham and Poplar Park and did a steady double clear in the CIC** at Burnham Market: he is definitely one to watch.
Ten-year-old Simply the Best has already brought home a red rosette this season, winning his first Open Pre Novice of the year at Poplar Park. This versatile and consistent horse is also showing a real talent for dressage, coming second in the Open section of the Combined Training at the Hartpury Winter Dressage Championships.
We are pleased to be supporting Ginnie and her busy string of horses and will keep you updated with her progress throughout the year, so be sure to come back to the website soon.
