I have been riding horses for as long as I can remember and growing up through Pony Club I participated in all the usual activities before focusing on eventing. I left school after my GCSEs and went to Hartpury College to combine my A-levels with riding, where I also carried on with Pony Club to achieve my A test. Once I had finished my A levels I stayed on at Hartpury and did an equine science degree, achieving a 2/1.?I have experience in a number of different equine disciplines having worked on eventing, dressage, show jumping and point to point yards over the years, combining stud work with breakers and competing the young horses. It was only when I had a nasty fall that I decided it was time for a ‘proper’ job so went to work for a company selling insurance but missed the horse world. I joined Allen & Page as an Area Sales Manager in April 2008 – this allowed me to combine my passion for horses with my everyday work. I still have my own horses now, one of which has just started competing at novice level eventing this season and I am hoping to move him up to intermediate next season with my goal to get him to Hartpury CCI*. I also have three homebred youngsters: a couple of two-year-olds and one foal at foot that I will be breaking and producing myself.
